Milky Lane - A Fresh Flavour in Bendigo's Dining Scene

The vibrant city of Bendigo is about to get even more exciting with the opening of Milky Lane, a new burger and dessert chain, in the iconic Lyttleton Terrace building

When it comes to dining experiences, Milky Lane is rewriting the script. This renowned burger and dessert chain has found its way to Bendigo, and we got the chance to sit down with Ben Allen, the franchisee owner, to get the scoop on what sets Milky Lane apart.

The decision to open a Milky Lane franchise in Bendigo wasn't just about bringing another dining option to town. According to Ben, "The branding and offering that Milky Lane provides are very unique. Bendigo hasn't had anything like it, and we saw it as a good fit for the town."

What truly differentiates Milky Lane from other burger and dessert chains? Ben enthusiastically shares, "It is all about our one-of-a-kind experience. Great food, live DJs on Friday and Saturday Nights, Share Cocktails, and memorable meals and moments. Bendigo has seen nothing like it."

Selecting the right location is often key to a restaurant's success. Ben tells us, "The position of this building was by far the biggest selling point. The balcony provides great views of Bendigo and creates a spectacular atmosphere. Also, the history of successful hospitality businesses that have operated in the building from the Cumberland Hotel to La Porchetta gave us confidence and motivation to bring it to life."

Milky Lane envisions a customer experience that's nothing short of memorable. Ben states, "Memorable, friendly, fun. We want people to love the food and come back again and again for the service and experience."

What dishes do you think will be the crowd-pleasers at Milky Lane Bendigo? "Our favourite is the Milky Lane, a classic-style burger with a double smash patty, cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion, and our own Milky Lane sauce. Other favourites (for big appetites) are the Big Poppa and Kevin Bacon," Ben shares.

Milky Lane Bendigo is more than a restaurant; it's a community hub. Ben elaborates, "The venue is two-story and has plenty of different spaces to engage in. We have an amazing wrap-around balcony which can be sectioned off for functions. We will get involved with local businesses, schools, La Trobe Uni, and local sporting groups."

In a world of ever-evolving food trends and customer preferences, Milky Lane knows how to keep things exciting. Ben recommends, "Milky Lane is well known for its monthly specials and promotions. Keep an eye out for them and follow our socials."

If you're eager to be among the first to experience Milky Lane Bendigo, you're in for a treat. Ben reveals, "We have an exclusive local VIP and media night planned for Thursday, 21st of September. Before our official opening, we'll also be hosting some family and friends sessions. Once we're open to the public, booking a table may become quite challenging, so make sure you gather your mates and get in early.
