How long have you worked in real estate?

I have worked in real estate for 13 years now. I started a traineeship at a local agency a few weeks after finishing Year Twelve and have loved it ever since!

What was your first job?

I started at a local Coles Supermarket when I was 15. I worked in the dairy department and really enjoyed it! I worked at Coles with our very own Brooke Lawrance many years ago, another member of our team at McKean McGregor!

Favourite aspect of your job?

Every single day offers something extremely different. The ability to help people achieve their property dreams and being able to meet so many different types of people.

Most valuable career lesson you have learnt?

Relationships are key. Being honest and authentic is extremely important. People want to deal with someone they can trust and feel comfortable with.

What advice would you offer someone wanting to become a sales consultant?

Communication, hard work, market knowledge and the ability to listen.

Which MM pet is your favourite?

There are many pets at MM that I love, but I can’t go past Emily’s beautiful dog Teica!

What do you like to do outside of work?

I enjoy playing Football for Bridgewater, Basketball, Fishing, Gaming and spending time with my friends/family, partner Tabitha and dog, Alfie.

Tell us something we wouldn't know about you?

I am a bit of a gamer and enjoy playing video games

What do you love most about Bendigo?

I love the community aspect of the town as well as the rich history. It has the infrastructure and facilities of large city but with the country atmosphere. The food and arts culture that we have seen improving year after year has been amazing as well!

Three words to best describe yourself?

Smiley, easy-going and approachable

What would you be doing if you weren't working in real estate?

Teaching.

What is the best piece of advice you can offer someone thinking of selling their home?

Presentation is everything when selling your home. Invest in marketing to create as much competition between buyers to maximise price and try to think like a buyer when selling by eliminating any objections you see prospective purchasers having prior to listing your home for sale.

If you had to choose to give up either coffee or lollies forever, which would you choose?

Would have to be coffee, the office snacks would never be the same!

And finally, what was your number-one song on Spotify wrapped for 2022?

Scar Tissue - Red Hot Chili Peppers
