What do you love most about Bendigo?

I love that Bendigo is just a big country town and that you can pretty much get anywhere you need to within 15 minutes. You have so many great opportunities here but with a certain simplicity that I really appreciate.  It’s a great place to raise a family and let's be honest, the beach and Melbourne aren’t too far away for those weekends away!

How long have you worked in real estate?

I have worked in real estate since 2015 when I joined McKean McGregor in a Marketing and Support role. Just a small team of 3 in the real estate team then. I’m so proud to see where McKean McGregor has grown to in that time.

What is the best piece of advice you can offer someone looking to sell their home?

Invest! Invest time, effort, thought and money into presenting your property to its utmost potential. It’s staggering how many incredible results we have achieved above and beyond what is expected due to great presentation. Don’t be scared to invest in marketing either, it’s hard to sell a secret!  You have one chance to sell your property; strategic and far-reaching marketing can mean a difference of 10s of thousands at the end.

What are the top three things a first homeowner should know before buying a house?

They should know exactly what their lending capacity is and look to have pre-approval from the bank/broker.

Determine the order and then prioritise the things that are most important to you when buying a new home. It’s rare you’ll find the absolutely perfect property so know what is most important to you! Eg: Price, Location, Block Size, House Size, Age, Shed etc..

Research! Attend opens, speak with agents, and seek advice from builders or family with experience. There is no such thing as stupid questions in real estate. We are only too happy to chat anytime.

How would you describe yourself?

I feel like I’m quite friendly and outgoing and would like to consider myself quite empathetic and loyal to those around me. I’m also very passionate about most things that I do. Competitive by nature, I take a great deal of pride in being a professional and hopefully one of the best at what I do as I'm always striving to get the best possible outcome for my clients (the right way, always showing integrity).

What do you do outside of work?

I have a young family now at home with my beautiful little girl Elle, a lot of my ‘spare’ time is now spent with her and my partner Tegan. Walking to the park and swimming is a particular favourite with Elle. I really enjoy playing Golf (member at Bendigo) although I’m not much chop at it and I'm a keen follower and supporter of Strathfieldsaye Storm and Bridgewater FNC in the local footy. I also love my food and coffee, Old Green Bean is probably the pick of my usuals.

What do you think the future for Bendigo looks like?

The future is bright. Most key indicators are pointing to Bendigo continuing to grow and prosper into the future. I think we are so lucky to have the Government investment we have had and are getting (Hospital, Arts, Schools, Law Courts etc) and I believe we are well-positioned to continue being a “destination” for people to relocate to. We have great proximity to Melbourne and even after a record 2 years growth of we still have great affordability compared to other metropolitan areas in the state.

And finally, what was your number one song in your Spotify Wrapped?

Unfortunately, I share an account with my partner and regrettably, as a result… Lizzo - About Damn Time made the top of the list for us in 2022.
